GUMRAI DUO FX Installation Guide

Install one EA file on one chart to run two engines, four FX pairs, and six strategy routes from a single MT5 account.

Before installation

  • MetaTrader 5
  • A hedging account
  • Algo Trading enabled
  • EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, and AUDUSD available

Installation steps

  1. 01

    Install the EX5

    In MT5, open File > Open Data Folder > MQL5 > Experts, copy GUMRAI_DUO_FX.ex5, then refresh Navigator or restart MT5.

  2. 02

    Attach to one chart

    Use any chart such as EURUSD M5 and run only one instance per account. The EA reads the other symbols itself.

  3. 03

    Set the Common tab

    Enable only Allow Algo Trading. Leave Allow DLL imports off, do not add a WebRequest URL, then click OK.

  4. 04

    Keep symbols on AUTO

    AUTO detects broker suffixes such as EURUSDc. Enter a manual symbol only when automatic resolution fails.

  5. 05

    Set portfolio risk

    Configure FX risk, ORB lot, portfolio open-risk, position caps, and daily/weekly locks for the account size.

  6. 06

    Run on Demo first

    Check the Experts and Journal tabs for symbol or permission errors before considering live use.

DUO FX does not call external DLLs or send WebRequests, so no extra permissions are required. Check these items before clicking OK.

Why can the same symbol appear twice?

Engine A and Engine B are separate strategies. Both may hold the same symbol and direction when each qualifies. Their orders use separate magic numbers and management logic, while the shared portfolio cap is checked before new exposure is added.

Backtests and demo results do not guarantee future performance. Spread, slippage, liquidity, and broker conditions can materially change live outcomes. You remain responsible for risk settings and every order.
